Virgin Mary In Grilled Cheese

I was amazed reading this article of Futurzone at orf.at, about a woman who owns a grilled toast with the face of Virgin Mary and sells it on Ebay.
Because of the influence of this "Toast" she has won over 70.000 $ in a casino and to proof this wonder the bread has not go mouldy until now.

Enjoy the arcticle!

and here ist the Ebay-Auction:

I think I will buy this auction ... ;-)

Violence against Computers

An article about "Violence against Computers" with the catchword, that this mostly happens if Computers are bratty handicaping people at their work has caught my attention - I thought all the time computers are machines and not doing something caused by their mood.

Long sentence, short meaning, take a look at this: The Computer Hammer

and this: Video Bad Day

Interested in this topic, I've started a poll, please take part at this page: Poll at pccp.at

Yesterday was (finally) a good soccer day

Finally ...
in the beginning, it looks really depressing, my favourite soccer team in Austria: Austria Salzburg lost its game 1:3 and my favourite team in Germay: Borussia Moenchengladbach lost 0:1 - meanwhile Bayern Munich - the team I really dislike - took the lead.

But in the evening all these loses had no importance any longer: At the battle of Espania the astonishing FC Barcelona took an overhelming victory against the disappointing Real Madrid - the Royals no longer kinglike.

201104_ronaldinho_dif.jpg It was a crushing defeat for them, 0:3. In the stadium Nou Camp over 100.000 people were watching the victory with goals of Samuel Eto'o, Giovanne van Bronckhorst and Ronaldinho and the demonstration of soccer art by Barcelona. I enjoyed the victory at home, and I am very proud that Barcelona is a great team this season again, playing some kind of soccer which is a feast for the eyes. Barcelona is my favourite team since I stayed there for holiday as a small child and get my first FC Barcelona dress.

I hope the next Pro Evolution Soccer Tournament at the PCCP Masters will also end with the victory of my team: FC Barcelona ...

O.k. Im a freak, a soccer-freak, but I'm loving it ... :-)

The Motorcycle Diaries

This week was cinema-time. At last!
We were watching the movie The Motorcycle Diaries - which is based on the diary of Ernesto "Che" Guevara.
The story is about the young (23 year old) Ernesto Guevara and his best friend Alberto Granado. The two young men are going to discover the South American mainland by motorcycle, feet and ramshackle trucks. They are looking for their greatest adventure but mostly discovering woe and repression and the inhabitants of the different countries.

poster_che.jpg The movie is a quiet, pleasing film which profits from its wonderful landscapes - the endlessness of South America is really impressing. A story full of poverty, tradition and pride, temper, soulfullness and injustice - but only for people who like quiet, sad stories with a grateful slowness.

I'm unterstanding how these experiences influenced the evolution of the revolutionist Che Guevara - his wish to help the Latin-Americans, but violence is never the solution to problems ...

My rating: 8/10 Motorcyle Spare-Parts

Enjoying U2

This is my time: Sitting in front of my PC, working all time and enjoying the great music of U2.
Yeah, I'm a fan for over 10 years (since my father donated me the LP Rattle and Hum) and the new album How to dismantle an atomic bomb sounds really reasonable.

u2-how-to.jpg
For fans I recommend to buy the double Album CD/DVD where you get for a few Euros more about 45 minutes of documentary & video perfomances from the U2 HQ.

The music is great, soft rock-and-roll with positive, critical lyrics, the enthralling guitar play of The Edge and the unmatchable voice of Bono with the highlights Vertigo (the best Song in the last years), Sometimes you can't make it on your own (about Bonos dead father) and Crumbs from your table - but listen and decide yourself what you like best.

Starting the LP from the beginning once again ...
