I fulfilled myself a long-time wish. Because I never ever had a video-recorder and many good TV-programs are late at night, I bought a DVD-recorder. My choice was the Panasonic DMR-EH65:
The recorder has a 250GB hard-disk, HDMI, time-shift functionality and support of many DVD-formats (just a extract of all features - list of all: Panasonic Product Page).
Especially recording is a really easy task: From the EPG (= electronical program guide), which is automatically updated every night, you can choose the TV-programme you want the record and with two steps over the buttons of the remote control recording can be scheduled.
Now I can record all I don't want to miss. The only question is when I will find time to watch all I've recorded ;)
