It's not a blog, it's a feature

I have just rediscovered the famous Discworld novels of Terry Pratchett: A few years ago a friend of mine gave me many of these books and I really loved the world of Rincewind and the other inhabitants. Last christmas I tried to fill my brother with enthusiasm for the Discworld and it worked.
It worked too good and as a result now I AM reading the book Mort. Once again I love the humour, the fantasy and the connection to nowadays. Believe me it is worth to give it a try!

For all beginners, there is a great guide called The Discworld Reading Order Guide. My hint is to use Mort as entrance to the fantastic world.

Vor mehr als zehn Jahren wurde der grandiose, famose PC Club Perwang gegründet und zwar am 04.08.1997. Zehn Jahre sind vorbei und es gibt uns noch immer.
Das ist ein Grund zum Feiern und das werden wir morgen machen, mit einem kompletten PCCP-Tag: zuerst Frühstück im Schloss Mattsee, dann Go-Kart fahren und am Abend Ripperl Essen mit Kegelscheiben.

The way they are playing soccer is not a pleasure to watch and the European Soccer Championship is not far away.
I don't think that Hicke was the best solution (I had preferred a foreign coach) but now he should finish his work. To play with all the old players who are to slow in international competitions is nonsense, but this could just be a joke.
If you see it that way, it is worth a laughter but if they want to be taken seriously ... :/

So every soccer fan should look at the Champions League games to enjoy the elegance of this game and pray (anything else would not help) for the Austrian club teams in the UEFA-Cup.

Eine Wirtschaft die ihre "Human-Ressourcen" (ein Unwort) aufs Maximale ausschöpft!

Wenn man auf orf.at lesen muss, dass die Nettolöhne unter dem Niveau vor 15 Jahren sind erinnert sich wohl jeder an den Werbeslogan der Wirtschaftskammer: "Geht's der Wirtschaft gut, geht's uns allen gut!". Irgendwie klingt das wie blanker Hohn - der Wirtschaft geht es spürbar besser, die Einnahmen steigen (obwohl sie ständig auf einem hohen Niveau waren), nur der "normale" Arbeitnehmer, der jahrelang mit solchen Parolen zum "Gürtel enger schnallen" aufgefordert wurde, merkt vom Aufschwung nichts - im Gegenteil, alles wird laufend teurer (Mieten, Nahrungsmitteln, Treibstoffe, ..) und das Lohnniveau der Nettolöhne wurde ja vorher schon erwähnt.
Nebenbei muss man dann noch lesen, dass in Deutschland die Nettolöhne sinken, naja wenn der große Bruder das vormacht müssen wir wahrscheinlich auch nicht mehr lange darauf warten.

Ich habe den Eindruck viele Firmen verstehen noch immer nicht, dass das wirkliche Kapital ihre Mitarbeiter sind und der Slogan auf "Geht's den Mitarbeitern gut, geht's der Firma gut!" umgelegt werden sollte.

We just bought a new macro lens for our Canon Powershot G3, to support one of our hobbies - macro photography. So we waited for a bright, sunny day and went out armed with the camera, the new lens, tripod, remote control and much time.
