It's not a blog, it's a feature

Es ist soweit - die mit Spannung erwartete Auslosung der Fußball EM-Gruppen ist vorbei und das Ergebnis für Salzburg ist sehr zufriedenstellend: Griechenland, Spanien, Schweden und Russland.

Und wir (besser gesagt Elisabeth) haben Karten für die Spiele Griechenland vs. Schweden bzw. Griechenland vs. Spanien. Ein Traum wird war: Bei einem Fußball-Großereignis dabei zu sein und mit den Spaniern gleich eine meiner Lieblingsmannschaften zu sehen. Die Stimmung mit 2 südländischen Mannschaften wird sicher am Kochen sein!

Und als das große Highlight wartet dann im Viertelfinale in Wien (wo wir auch Karten haben - meine Glücksfee lebe hoch) der Zweite der Gruppe C (der sogenannten Horrorgruppe) auf "unseren" Gruppenersten.

"Expect Emotions" ist der Slogan der EM - und das werden wir dann im Stadion leben und erleben

No - not the 5th of November, by the way Vendetta is really a great movie!
Remember the great adventures when Dos 6.0 or Windows 3.11 was running on my 386-SX PC (with unbelievable 25 MHz CPU and 52 MB hard disk storage volume. These days I enjoyed the Lucasfilm Adventures and most of all the Monkey Island series.

And so the main theme of Monkey Island releases feelings of happiness in me, especially in this nostalgic version - Monkey Island Main Theme from AtariST.

If you have a card reader and you are peeved of having your explorer full with drive letters with no drive behind it or even hate to search thought many drive letters to access the correct drive use this little freeware tool:
USBDM - USB drive letter manager, with a few settings you can adjust the behaviour of your card reader.

For example I use:
NoMediaNoLetter=3 - all removable drive letters with no card are not visible in the explorer
[DriveLetters] Letters=R-Z - for all removables the computer uses these drive letters.

It's really easy to adjust and practicable for your daily usage, so give it a try!

HTML mails stink ... :/

And so, as a feature, Thunderbird blocks them by default and shows just text only mails (which should be state of the art). So if you are sure that HTML mails (or even rss) from an address are save or just want temporary to read for example a newsletter you can use the helpful Add-On for Thunderbird called 'Allow HTML temp', where you activate the HTML function with just one simple for exact one time.

Accept the challenge to hunt the record of the world most famous downhill courses.
Normally I am not a ski racing fan (not typical for an Austrian, I know) but this game is really cool. And so I try to improve my time and try to be nearly as good as hpk (yes, the one and only hpk) is.
